With new expectations--brought on by College and Career Readiness (CCR) standards--comes new challenges for teachers and students. Now more than ever, students are expected to make meaning of increasingly complex texts and prove what they know through speaking and writing.
At LiteracyTA, we care about helping students learn through reading, speaking, and writing skills. To support our teachers, we have developed a five step reading process that slows down the decisions proficient readers make while reading.
On January 30th and 31st, LiteracyTA hosted its second LiteracyTA University (LTA U) at California State University San Marcos. Thirty three educators came together to learn practical, classroom ready skills and activities to help students meet the College and Career Readiness standards. Thank you for another successful workshop experience!
Lesson planning is one of the most challenging and time consuming aspects of being a teacher. To support this important work, we have developed digital lesson plan templates that all subject area teachers can use to successfully plan and implement College and Career Readiness standards (CCRs).
LiteracyTA's eCoach motivates you with weekly articles on best practices for teaching students how to read, speak, and write about texts. Stay connected to the team. Get inspired. Learn, grow, and achieve with eCoach.
