Let's Get Better Together

By on January 3, 2017

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you had a fantastic winter break. Some of us are returning to school this week and others (like my father) have another week off. Regardless of where your break falls, it is 2017. And every new year brings new opportunities, a fresh start, and new (or renewed) commitments. As always, LiteracyTA remains committed to improving everyday.

Things to think about in 2017

  • LTA Toolkit Pro delivers a powerful literacy curriculum with a digital assessment tool in the LTA Classroom. Have you used the assessment tool, yet? Try it in January. It's a new year. A new beginning. A new opportunity to do something you have wanted to do. I know you are going to love this new resource.

Student Activity

Are you tired of the new year resolution quickwrite? Try changing the topic. You can ask, "What are you looking forward to this year?" Students can answer this verbally or in writing. You can also answer this question. I am sure your students would love to know what you are looking forward to in 2017.

As we begin the new year, LiteracyTA would like to thank all of you for the amazing work you do with kids! Thank you for your dedication to their futures. Thank you for making a difference in students' lives. In 2017, continue to live passionately and love deeply.

Literacy Standards In Action

We've mapped our literacy lessons and reading, speaking, and writing skills to state standards, Common Core, and NGSS. The standards are "the what" to teach. Our lessons are "the how" to meet the expectations defined by the standards. Click on the links below to view our quick reference table that maps standards to literacy lessons.
