High Expectations for All

By on May 17, 2012

I was on the internet today doing some research for an upcoming writing assignment and came across an article that I think you will like. The article, "Set High Goals For All Of Our Students," clearly makes a case for setting high expectations for all students. Many of the claims Kathleen Porter-Magee makes in her article are expressed on LiteracyTA. When you get a second, take a look at this brief comment on the value of setting high expectations. For me, the article affirmed that what I am doing in the classroom is helping students transform their lives. Enjoy.

Literacy Standards In Action

We've mapped our literacy lessons and reading, speaking, and writing skills to state standards, Common Core, and NGSS. The standards are "the what" to teach. Our lessons are "the how" to meet the expectations defined by the standards. Click on the links below to view our quick reference table that maps standards to literacy lessons.
