Cut N' Folds: New Interactive Organizers

This month, LiteracyTA is releasing interactive graphic organizers called Cut N' Folds. These are engaging organizers that students can use to keep track of essential ideas in a text. Common Core Standards R3 and R5 ask students to analyze text structure and examine how ideas in a text are related to one another. Our new Cut N' Folds will be a great addition to the skills and strategies we use to help our students meet these literacy standards. Here is what they look like.

Literacy Standards In Action

We've mapped our literacy lessons and reading, speaking, and writing skills to state standards, Common Core, and NGSS. The standards are "the what" to teach. Our lessons are "the how" to meet the expectations defined by the standards. Click on the links below to view our quick reference table that maps standards to literacy lessons.

Analyze how and why individuals, events, and ideas develop and interact over the course of a text.
Analyze the structure of texts, including how specific sentences, paragraphs, and large portions of the text relate to each other and the whole.
