Developing Reading Game Board

This game board offers a sequence of skills to help teachers deliver engaging, skill-based instruction. First, select the level of student (or player to keep the metaphor going) that you teach. To play the game, begin at "Start" and move one space at a time. Once you or your students have successfully completed a task or activity, you may move forward one space. You do not land on the gray spaces; these are not recommended for the level of "player" you are working with. You might want to read a few spaces ahead to see what's coming. How much time and energy you spend with each space on the game board will depend on time, students' skill level, and the overall purpose of the assignment.
